Meet the therapists
All of our therapists have achieved a high standard of training with their association and awarding body. All practitioners observe strict codes of practice and ethics and are fully insured.
Anne Etherton
Anne is also an acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medicine practitioner. She attended university in Bristol, where she read Microbiology. After completing her degree, she worked in public health and
the food industry. She worked in industry for 13 years before deciding to study acupuncture. Anne first met acupuncture in 1986 when talking to the mother of a friend of hers who was an acupuncturist.
She found the subject fascinating because it treated the person as a whole and it was a method of improving health without using drugs. Anne studied for 4 years at the Northern College of Acupuncture
(www.chinese-medicine.co.uk) in York, and qualified in 1999 with a Diploma of
Acupuncture and a Master of Science from the University of Wales. Her MSc was about atopic asthma and how this is understood in Chinese medicine.
Anne has taken various courses in Japanese acupuncture, Qi gong, Tai Chi, Korean hand therapy, reproductive acupuncture and holds Reiki Seichem level 3. She has also qualified with a Certificate in Pre-prepared
Chinese Herbs (2004).

Rita Carmichael BA (Hons) DipION FdSc MBANT
Rita Carmichael is a qualified Nutritional Therapist, she trained at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London, a leading centre for nutrition education. She is a member of the British Association
for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT), the professional body for nutritional therapists.
Rita is a partner in The Well Room, a corporate consultancy that works with employers to improve the health and well being of their staff.

Debbie Holler
MAR
Debbie Holler is a Member of the Association of Reflexologists (MAR)
& an Authorised member of the Vertical Reflex Therapy (VRT)
network
Debbie owns and runs Caritas Natural Health Clinic and School of Reflexology, she is a practicing reflexologist. She trained at the Caritas School of Reflexology and qualified in 2005. Her enthusiasm
in the classroom and previous business experience prompted the previous owner of the school to offer Debbie the opportunity to take over the clinic, which she did in early 2006. She has worked alongside
her in the school as an assistant tutor and has just recently completed the take over of both clinic and school and is now principal and Tutor.
Debbie is a member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR). These practitioners are trained to standards agreed by the AoR. The AoR is committed to maintaining the highest standards in Reflexology
and requires its full members to have passed a qualification that meets the highest standards.
Debbie is also trained in other therapies including:
- Swedish massage
- Aromatherapy
- Indian head massage
- Hopi ear candling
- Tiny toes reflexology
- Vertical reflex therapy (VRT)
- Maternity reflexology
VRT
and Maternity reflexology are areas in which she specialises.
Debbie works with a number of regular clients whom she treats on a weekly – monthly basis, depending on their condition.
Please note, Debbie’s clinic is usually fully booked around 2 weeks in advance so please bare this in mind if you wish to make an appointment.

Sharan Johal LHC RSHom
Sharan is a qualified homeopath she trained at The Homeopathy College (Midlands) and is a member of the Society of Homeopaths.

She is also a Reiki practitioner, practising ART Reiki level three and is a member of the
UK Reiki Federation (www.reikifed.co.uk).
Sharan has used holistic therapies for many years as they have helped her to regain her own health.
She feels excited in having this opportunity to help people reach their optimum level of health.

Sandy Juffs
Sandy Juffs (NNEB, RN, RM, Aroma Dip) has lived locally all her life. Formerly a Nursery Nurse and Nurse she now practises as a Midwife and Complementary Therapist.
She completed practical and theoretical Diploma training in Aromatherapy, Lymph Drainage Massage and Swiss Reflex Therapy at the Shirley Price International College of Aromatherapy in Leicestershire.
After qualifying in 2005, she took further training and direction from Caroline Blamey and, more recently, Ethel Burns (Oxford Brookes Hospital) for the specific use of aromatherapy for pregnancy, labour
and the postnatal period. Sandy is a key member of the team that has been instrumental in setting up and developing an Aromatherapy Service for women in labour. She continues to train staff in the use
of aromatherapy in practise within the Maternity Unit and is now involved in extending this service for use on the Ante and Postnatal wards.
As a Complementary Therapist Sandy works to a professional standard and is committed to the continuation of her professional and personal development. She has undertaken further training seminars under
the direction of Linda Arksey (LA Complimentary Health) and intends to further develop her interest and practise in the near future with the addition of Baby Massage training sessions for Mums and Dads.

Wendy Moncaster BA., MNCH (Reg.), HPD
Wendy trained with the College of Transformational Therapy and is a member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy. The aim of hypnotherapy is to enable the person to resolve their issues in as short
a time as possible. Her training also includes an understanding of, and competency in, the techniques of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Hypnotherapy and the techniques of NLP can be enormously helpful
in bringing about positive change, even when other approaches have been unsuccessful.
Wendy has a particular interest in emotional issues, often stemming back to experiences in childhood. She also specialise in confidence and self-esteem building and finds it especially rewarding to assist
individuals when they are going through a time of personal change, such as following a divorce, bereavement, change of career or other periods of personal challenge. No two people are the same, and her
aim is to provide a programme of hypnotherapy specially tailored to help you.
She is registered with the UK Confederation of Hypnotherapy organisations. The UKCHO is an umbrella body for the hypnotherapy profession in the United Kingdom. UKCHO’s mission is to ensure that standards
of conduct, ethics and practice are appropriate for public safety. It is the aim of UKCHO to promote the professional regulation of hypnotherapy within the United Kingdom, to ensure that Hypnotherapists
are safe and competent to practice, and that they adhere to national standards of ethics and training.
